    recommended suspension for ek

hey, just got a few quick questions.

whats the most recommended coilover for EK? budget is around the 1.2ish mark, new or used.

also, just a quick question on wheel size choice..

which do you feel is best on an EK? 16x8+20 or 15x8+20 (both 195/45)

from my very little knowledge, 16x8+20 would require camber kit, rolled guards and possible flare? and 15x8+20 with just rolled guards and possible camberkit?

can anyone confirm or add to that, would be sweet!

    thanks guys.

hey mate - if you're looking for a complete aftermarket setup:

Suspension: at the moment i'm running kyb shocks + king springs ultra lows front and rear, sits closer to dumped than comfort but still decently practical as long you're not driving many passengers. But with 1.2k, why not go for coils?
Wheel size: If you're looking for 16x8.... defs need a roll and camber kit.. 15x8 - i don't think i had a camber kit installed. That said, 15x8 looks a lot less chunky than 16x8! I would go 15s on a d16y4.
Tyres: so important!!!!!!!! 195/45r16 definitely on the fronts.... good for the back too if not 205/45r16. Federal 595s are cheap and work like a dream too, don't bother with the RE050A and RE002s unless you're made of $$$$.

    good luck

    Ill reccomend you something

From personal experience with tein, koni yellow gc sleeves (2 sets) and bc br.
I was very happy or satisfied with them, an average car enthusiast drives on the street 80% of the time, and in those times my car was either too harsh (even at lowest setting) or too soft and mushy (koni yellows and sleeves)

I went with a custom made coilover

    AMR engineering (just google them)

Coilovers are made specifically to you needs and use
All coilovers are made to order (not off shelf generic stuff)
Top quality hypercoil springs (your choice of spring rates)
    Lifetime warranty

Past 6-7 years they've never had a blown shock, and that really explains the quality of this particular brand

Alot of the evolution and sti owners use these

Even an owner with an s2000 came first on their local track after upgrading!

Check out their website and if you have any questions feel free to PM me

6-7 years but how many k's?

I've had my koni yellows for 100000k's now. they still run very well.

cheers for the input so far guys. very appreciated.

currently considering silvers neomax or buddyclub n+.

    neomax 1.1k from shift
    buddyclub n+ 1.2-1.3k via jdmyard

from sitting in my mates car with neomax, the ride wasn't harsh at all.. well nothing i couldn't handle.

but buddyclub n+ more reputable brand?

    thoughts?

reputable brands - cusco, skunk2 (uncomfortable), tein, yellowspeed, koni - depends how you drive and the roads, as a daily with high kms you may want to reconsider... coils won't last as long as you think if you're riding low on badass sydney roads
