    My new 2013 Honda NC700S

    Hi all,

just picked up my honda nc700s - 700cc bike!!

This is by far the most comfortable bike i've been on!

I'm no learner, I am experienced rider and had gsxr600, cbf250 and now this.

The bike is like 215kg but it doens't feel that way at all once you start riding since the tank is under the seat and it is mass centralised.

    Torque is amazing!! it's like 60nm@4000+rpm compared to CBR600RR - that's 61nm@12,000rpm.

This is a daily commuter for me and the torque around traffic is just bloody amazing. First ride the torque just freaked me out a bit but i got the hang of it now.

The engine is apparent borrowed from a Honda Jazz and literally cut in half. So fuel consumpsion apparently gets 400km range in a 14.1litre tank and 12000kms service intervals!!! That's reliability!

I've since changed to adjustable levers and have new dual exhaust installed, now the beast sounds like a huge V-Twin that scares everybody. I will soon do a walk around video with the exhaust note. Watch this space

    Here's a sneak peek.

Grats on the purchase! Looks so damn comfy.
I imagine it would make a great commuter/long distance bike with the occasional squirt through the twisties.
If you like it, rep it.

    Hey Rokkuchan,

Congrats on your bike mate - I paid for mine today and getting it tomorrow morning - also in white.

I did my lessons and Rclass test on one and absolutely loved it. That pretty much set my mind on the bike, wanted the white one and got it. New models are black and silver... Wanted white.

How much did the exhaust set you back? Is it good?

What do the adjustable leavers do?

I'm looking at getting a top box rack for my R-jays topbox.

    Ride safe!

    Top Box and windscreen

The Honda bracket, top box and pannier set spoil the low price of the bike and the bigger windscreen only adds about 2 inches to the standard one so I found a German company that makes a bracket specifically for the NC700S. They have a dealer in Perth. Including postage, it was much cheaper than Honda's and looks better as well. I found a great windshield at skidmarx.co.uk which was cheaper than the shipping cost but all up still cheaper that Honda's - and much more functional.

I have done a 2,000 km ride on it and it is a great tourer. The torque is what matters and it has enough of that. A top speed of 190km/h is way more than enough. I only do short bursts of speed when overtaking and the torque takes it from 100 to 140km/h quick smart so you don't spend too much time on the wrong side of the road.

    Hi

I have the OEM centre main stand which i ordered but since sold bike. They wont accept returns so I am left with the centre stand brand new in box unopened.

    That's a decent size shield!
I opted for a screen 9cm taller than stock - does the job well. Got it from Germany.

Sorry hardly got on this forum for awhile but I am back. Just recently go my new accord euro luxury but still have this bike and still runs really well.

the adjustable levers just allows me to adjust it closer to my fingers (if you have shorter fingers for comfort) otherwise no need to change them. Exhaust from eBay for about 3-400 buks i recall. Not for performance but to warn others around me I am there and not to run me over. With that exhaust on it really sounds like v-twin monster. Video don't justify.
