    Cel #43 eg h2b

    Hey peeps,

My car is a EG hatch with a H22A type S mated to a B series 98 spec LSD Box. I blew my old motor OCT 2012, and bought this motor from overseas arrived JAN 2013. Don't really know the condition of the internals of this engine, but I put the engine in anyway in FEB 2013 and then got it tuned, and then I drove the car for the first time with this new engine and I was getting CEL #?? Fuel injectors. I changed the injectors, and still no luck. I was then advised by the tuner to disbale Fuel Injector error code on the S300, so it doesn't pop up anymore. now I am getting error code #43 Fuel supply system. My mates tell me my car blows white smoke when I punch it. My car also when staying at the same rpm while driving, it starts to bog, like the fuel delivery is being restricted. but when I punch it, it increases rpm with no worries. the code also only seems to come in when i've been drivng the car around all day. when it is cold in the morning, it doesnt seem to do it.

At first, I thought cracked head gasket, cause the bog feeling is like water getting in your air intake. and only bogs when its hot (high pressure in the cooling system)... but according to my mates, if I did, I would know about it. So now im thinking fuel filter, cause the car was sitting around for several months with fuel still in it...

Anyone have any ideas, what I could check/replace??

    Cheers in adavance.

Could be fuel pressure regulator, swap over your old one and see how that goes. What fuel pump are you running?

what size injectors are you running

Engine light comes on and code 43 registered in ECU memory. Car will still drive as normal. Common causes for code 43 are a faulty oxygen sensor. However its been known for a blocked fuel filter or failing fuel pump to trigger this code. The ECU will adjust the pulse width ( duty ) of the injectors to achieve a target fuel mixture and expect to see a change in the fuel mixture by monitoring the Oxygen sensor. If it does not see the change it know's it has made it will trigger code 43.

    Items to inspect are

    - quality of your fuel used
    - Oxygen Sensor(s)
    - fuel filter
    - Injectors
    - fuel pump
    - main PGMFI relay
    - fuel pressure regulator. ( ensure the vacuum line is connected )
    - fuel return line. ( ensure its not clamped off. Its been known to have left a clamp on the return line after a fuel injector flush ).

I dont have an o2 sensor... I mite just have to swap my fuel filter, see if it changes, if not swap fuel pump and see if that works.

duno wat the story is about not having O2 sensor, but I have heard you can delete O2 as long as it is tuned without it...
