Airbag light on after replacing seats

    Dear all,
I've just replaced the standard seats with the OEM leather seats and I am getting the airbag light on as an error. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue. Do I have to ask Honda dealer to reflash the ecu or something or can they reset in any other way?
    I am based in Sydney.
    Thanks in advance
    Rattan

Do the leather seats not have airbags?

Run a resistor through the airbag plug that used to plug into the old seat

Youll be having an issue with seat airbags.

Did you replace airbag seats with non airbag ones?

If so, id be swapping back, beacause by doing that youve voided your insurance.

If you replace with seats that do have airbags, make sure everything is plugged in correctly.

I've replaced the seats with the airbags and to my knowledge every things was plugged in correctly besides the heating component in the seats as the electric seats are working fine besides this stupid error message.

You might need to get a code cleared at honda.

did you disconnect the battery while you did it?

YEah id say that because you didnt unplug the battery before you did it, when you unplugged the seats it tripped the sensor out.
