    1997 heater issues

    Hi guys,

just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem. Last week my heater stopped blowing warm air. A/C works, blower blows air, but when I change temp to 32 degrees it just won't get any warm air blowing. I checked all fuses and nothing is blown. I don't believe it's the thermostat as the engine seems to warm up fine. My friend recons it's some valve or switch (that diverst cold or warm air) under the dash that could be dead.
    Anyone experienced something similar.

    Regards

    Quan

Just an update on my a/c warm air issue: To find out what was at fault, I narrowed it down by eliminating all the elements that were functioning normally. I looked under the dash, made sure rods and switches moved as I changed settings. Turns out it was the air diverter (picture below), when I set temperature from 18 degrees to 32 degrees, the diverter should move a rod to divert air flow, but this didn't happen. So, I ordered a second hand air diverter from HondWorld in VIC. After installation, the heat setting is now functioning fine.
Lesson learned: Use process of elimination to determine faulty issue.
