ek b18c7 swap fuel pump issues

    i've just finished doing a b18c type r swap from a dc2 into my ek1.
I'm using an ek4 harness and an obd2a to obd2b adapter and using the original dc2 ecu.
I lengthened the wiring harness to the ecu and tucked it through the quarter panel.
I had spark issues. fixed that
But now my fuel pump isn't priming when i turn the key. (can't hear it and nothing sprayed when i loosened the fuel filter)
The car turns over and has good compression.
The g101 - i think it is- ground is good.
The main relay doesnt seem to be the problem as i have checked it and swapped out the b series one.
    All fuses look good.
Could it be the wiring harness - wrong cable spliced together- only ask cause they are three or four that are identical colours and may have accidentally mixed them up.
I need it running for work as im a contractor
Any and all help will be amazing.

I've done the jumper test from pin 5 to 7 and have fuel pump action. although it doesnt shut off. is that because its the main relays job to shut off?

two things of concern in your first post.

you state B18C7, EK4 loom. EK4 loom is OBDIIA, the B18C7 P73 is also OBDIIA. why use a OBDIIA to OBDIIB conversion harness ? are you sure you have an EK4 harness and not EK9 or EM1 ?

have you bypassed the immobiliser ?

are you 100% you got the wiring correct with the wire tuck ?

I just checked continuity and this is what i got. due to the amount of negatives i have im assuming there is a wiring issue

    Pin 1 +
    pin 5 +

    Pin 2 -
    Pin 3 -
    pin 6 -
    Pin 7 -

    Pin 8 nothing

It sounds like you're trying to use an EK9 OBD2b engine harness, which is not gunna work.

Do you have only 2 ECU plugs on the engine harness? (Not on the adaptor)
