To the so called "Australia's best Honda tuning shop". No your motor is not 100% oem parts. Here is some evidence you forgot to cover up.

Carrillo rods, CP pistons. Signs of oil starvation. Damaged bearings and scored pistons.

Yes they have massive fuel systems & are running E85, but so are the Tran brothers.

There is also a drifter in Melbourne with a K20A turbo that is internally OEM and that makes 300rwkw all day every day & JDM Yard have seen 400kw on a near stock turbocharged K24, so please explain why you can't make 350kw on a stock K series with enough boost?
Us hp reads roughly 15% higher then aus, regardless circuit racing puts a lot more abuse on motors then street driving.
Also Yonas is running a built motor iirc.

I understand that the US has a slightly higher HP reading than Aus dyno's, but at the end of the day, Stevil was implying that you can't make those power figures on a OEM assembled motor. Also Zi was saying at WTAC that their current motor was stock & they wound the power back to complete the weekend

Hey stndrd not saying 300+ fwkw is possible cause it is, just suggesting that if somebody was too pour a shit load of $$$ into a racecar you'd beef up the motor. Esp with the punishment its gunna receive at the track. I doubt there are many oem parts left at on the car in question.

    why?

if you can get the power on a standard engine then it's possible economically sound to do so. Another standard engine for a few grand vs a built one for $20.... have to go through a fair few engines before it was worth building one.
