    b16 throttle body on b18c2 manifold

    ive tried searching the forums but havent found any threads that will answer my question .. or if someone can link me that would be great=]

    so i bought a b16 throttle body and has a matching cable support for my b18 .. i know there isnt a FITV on the b16 throttle body but i was told you can bypass it

    all i need is a a pictured play by play on how its done

    If you bypass the FITV your car will not cold start correctly. OBD1 systems need it to control the idle during cold start unless you have a tunable ECU like Hondata to control the IACV based on water temp.

    However, if you still want to go ahead with it, it's as simple as removing your throttle body, install the B16 one and plug the hose that normally goes into the FITV into the hose fitting underneath the throttle body instead. Done.

    Just curious, what is to gain by using a B16 throttle body on a B18?
