    Dc5 type s help

Thinking about buying a type s dc5 but wanted someone to help me engine wise. Can anyone tell me what the power is like in one, if the vtec is any good (ie crossover and what not) or is it completly shit compared to a type r engine wise?
    sorry for the stupid question

It's about the same, i currently own a DC5R which has the K20a2 engine. If you prefer leather seats go for the DC5S which is the Sport model, or you could be a boy racer and get a DC5R which in some people's case it's more untamed than the DC5S.

    The type s is slow.

Power to Weight ratio is only like 110kW/per tonne. Which is really nothing. There's a reason why its a Type S and not a Type R.

That power to weight ratio, if your looking for power an em1 will be just as fast.

Type R power to weight DC5R - stock is like 126kw/per tonne.

Well I guess my type r is a turd then. Since it has a k20z1 in it from a type s.

To OP the engines are the same. In fact theoretically the k1 is a bit faster but the type s gearbox doesnt have an lsd which is the huge downfall of the type s.

If you were to choose. Either is fine. But if you get an type s. Make sure you put an lsd.

OP speed wise theyre not that different, just depends if you prefer more track orientated car or a bit of luxury with the S

    Learn to do your research,

I test drove both before buying the Type R.

The Type S was not much faster then my em1. Hence why i made that comparison.

The Type R feels faster, not much. But it is noticeable.

Look I know its only 7kW and 70kg difference here + LSD.

Its up to you OP. The power delivery felt better in the R.

exTrix the z1 makes more power. But the S weights more mate.

Please check my reference to red book if you have commented and do not own one.

Yes I do agree the better driver will win if they raced. But its been driven by op aka same driver.
