Thread: B18A sump plug?

    B18A sump plug?

Just a quick question... I just changed the oil and filter on my DA9 w/B18A1, but the new washer that came with my Hamp filter is too small for the bolt. I was under the impression nearly all Honda sump plug bolts were the same? The B18A one seems bigger than my B16B one (both are 17mm).... can someone just confirm please.

Also, does anyone have a spare sump bolt? The washer is stuck on mine and can't get it off.

Might be bigger Coz the sump may have been re threaded. Take the bolt with u to auto store or Bunnings and put it in the chart

The A plug should be the same as any other B-series. As above stated, it may have been re threaded. I found it amazingly hard to find the correct washers for a standard sump plug recently when I ran out. At Supercheap, Repco, Autobarn, Autopro and Sprint they only had multipacks which have a copper washer of the correct size. Found a Bursons (not many in SA) and they had a 4pk on the counter...

Oh and no spare here sorry, stripped the thread on one of my bolts at the above mentioned time and had to pinch from the parts car.

All B series sump plugs are M14x1.5 unless they have been rethreaded. You just need any old 14mm ID (9/16" is pretty close) washer - copper or aluminium both work.
