Thumbs down DC2 VTI-R Sometimes taking longer to start.

2 weeks ago my dc2 SOMETIMES started taking longer to start the engine . Also when it started it fire up fairly rough. There has been no problem with the drive ability of the car, just sometimes taking longer to start. From what i have noticed this seems to happen only when the engine is warm.

Any ideas as to what it could be would be appreciated, cheers.

not surer if the DC2 has the igniter in the distributor or not, but this can give a hot start problem is the igniter is getting too hot and old. Other option might be the main relay on its way out.

When engine is warm it's main relay IMO but from my experience you actually have trouble starting it altogether rather than slow starting.
