    Engine swap help/understanding

    Hows it going!

I own an Auto '95 DC4 and a mate of mine reckons I can swap the engine with a manual DC2 engine but keep the 4speed auto trans.

    Is this actually doable?

I can't get my head around the engine being built for 5 speed manual but still work with a 4sp Auto transmission?

Not really sure how engines work.

The ECU would be an issue if you where to do the conversion. No conventional P72 will run the AT.

There is a P72 with all 4 OBDI connectors that was for the Auto B18C3, this would require a PGMFI rewire.
