    Lassa Tyres

    Hey All,

Wondering if anyone has tried this brand of tyre, need to replace all 4 on my wife's 2008 Civic VTi and haven't got a huge budget. Standard steel rims to.

She drives 8 to 10,000Klm each year so doesn't need anything sporty.

Baulkham Hills Tyre King has these 195 x 65 x 15 for $95 fitted and balanced.

This is what I found on the net, and reviews are favourable.

They are made by BRISA which is a joint venture between the Bridgestone Corporation of Japan and The Sabanci Group of Turkey. They have been in production since 1988 with Bridgestone technology and are produced alongside Bridgestone in the manufacturing plant based in Izmit in Turkey. The factory is one of the largest in Europe.

I know tyres are important, but these are regarded as a mid-range tyre. My wife does not drive above the speed limits, and to and from work doesnt get above 60klm/h. On weekends we may do the occasional freeway trip, and 2 adults, and a child. No towing either.

    Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

    Cheers
    Chris

Why not give them a crack Chris? They sound like a cheap tyre that'll fill all the requirements

I'd personally take advantage of bridgestones sale but that's me.

correct, tyres are the only thing keeping you in contact with the road, spend a extra $100 or so, for that one in a million moment you need good tyres that will make you stop that 1m faster.
all I can say is buy the best you can afford, and don't think twice about tyres.

Hi All, thanks for the feedback, Part of the budget requirement is to get a tyre that's not only going to last a year, based on the klm travelled each year, we would like something that could get 40,000klm, I really wanted to get a set of the factory Civic 17" rims and put tyres on, but they never come up cheap When I could maybe afford a set. Other option was thinking of Integra Type S rims and finding something that gives the same rolling diameter. I also have a set of DC2R 15" rims, but think they would look too small on the car, and worried they might have too much of an offset difference to go on easily.

Hi All, just an update, got a set of Pirelli P1 195 x 65 x 15 for $115 each at Baulkham Hills Tyre King, being fitted tomorrow, from reviews I have read should be a good tyre for our needs, without going massively over a budget. Thanks for the suggestions, hopefully can get a set of factory alloys to replace the steel rims at some point. Cheers, Chris
