Does my 2007 Accord need to have a code entered after the battery is removed from the vehicle,if so where do I find it?There is no mention of it in the owners handbook but my Commodore has to be reset every time the battery is disconnected to stop the stereo from being stolen so I thought the Honda may have a similar feature.Thanks in advance.Cheers Albie.

I swapped out the battery on my 2004 Euro today and didn't need a code. Lost all the presets on the radio is all.

I thought the Audio code protection became a thing of the past. Gee can't even give away my factory head unit, yet alone someone trying to steal it? That logic.

Check logbooks, code should be written down in there from the dealership.

Internet search will quickly tell you how to recover your audio serial number (by pressing presets 1+6 simultaneously whilst switching the radio on) and with that you can get the security code through a dedicated website or by calling your dealer. What is not so easy to find is how to actually enter the security code in the radio by pressing the presets correctly. Older models worked by pressing the presets in the same sequence as the security code, say code 24132 was entered by pressing preset 2, then 4, then 1 and so on. The later model Honda radios work differently, as I just learnt from 2012 Accord experience (car owner's manual just stated to press station presets but I could not make it work that way). A dealer technician showed me that the same code 24132 gets entered by pressing preset 1 two times (first digit of the security code), then preset 2 four times (second digit of the code), preset 3 one time and so on.
