    Turbo or Supercharger?

    Yes I know.

Very very very broad question. I just want to view a range of peoples opinions and why.
It is to accompany my K20/K24 DC5R sometime next year.

I am not doing this for popularity votes, but rather to allow myself to see both sides of the picture and to view both pros and cons for each.

I am aware of the issues and the amount of supporting modifications I am up for. But I just cant resist. It's the bug!! Once you get it, you're in it for good. You seek more and more power!

No conflict please. All opinions are welcome.

    from personal experience,
supercharger seems to be harder to make power and it isn't as efficient...
again, this also comes down to the right sizing of turbo/supercharger and in turbo side of things, a big roll is played by the exhaust manifold...
    quick example...
    a ap2 s2k I did for a mate, with SOS supercharger kit (stage 2kit) made 240kw on 12psi
my bros k20a2 s13 silvia with a custom exhaust manifold and gt3076r on 12psi made 290kw

both cars on same dyno, same tuner and same pump 98 fuel

    the s2k did see 270kw with e85...

    what are your goals first?
Super charger is great for short runs/sprints short tracks.
Turbo will make greater overall power

    Turbo > Supercharger.

    In every single measurable way.

    Supercharger sounds better to me.

Depends on the type of supercharger.

Centrifugals tend to have less low rev torque but make good power at the top (compared to roots and twin scroll variants) and generate less heat than a turbo does. Centrifugals also make a f*cking annoying noise at idle

I also find that supercharger 'kits' are more readily available taking away a lot of the custom work

Also remember it's about driveability too rather than outright power.

drivability is all in the tune ragrdless of mods...
and if Tiana sticks with Adrian, she wont have any drivability issues

My comment is in relation to centrifugal SC units where the turbine speed is directly proportional to the engine speed and produces boost in a linear fashion. That's not tune related

Even still, a giant turbo isn't going to do much down low either, is it
