WTB - Used 7gen. High K's but well serviced ok?

Currently looking at used 7th gens. What are peoples thoughts on cars with around 150-180ks with full history?

    Ok or asking for trouble?

it's fine, Honda engines last forever, just make sure the auto transmission (if you are getting auto) works well, and all the bushings are ok (you'll be up for bushings soon anyway)

Agreed, but the closer you get to the 200k mark, the closer you get to that major service... factor that in to the price you are paying. A lot of people seem to flip cars around that service interval for obvious reasons...

Stuff that may need replacing if not done already

    Stuff mentioned above ^^^
    Timing belt (2nd time)
    Water pump
Oil seals - camshaft, distributor, vtec actuator - check for leaks in these areas
    rear wheel bearings
    engine & gearbox mounts
    CV joints / drive shafts
    UV damaged headlamps

Also check for crash damage. Panel gaps, front & rear bumper alignment.

If the car has been resprayed, pay attention to the extremities of panels and roof areas. If the zinc layer has been sanded through (easily done) and sprayed over, there is no rust protection there. Check for signs of rust bubbles under paint and be aware that a tiny bubble near a window seal can hide a major problem underneath.

K24 use timing chain not belt.

So it'll be up for the 2nd aux belt.
