    DC5R DC5S EP3R Throttle Cable Question

    Hey

I have an EP3R with a throttle cable that is not working very smoothly and I want to replace it with a new item. The question is... will a DC5 one fit?

I have read that the R and the S are different. I have not looked at how the cable attaches to the pedal but that is also a consideration. Will just order one through a Honda dealership if a DC5 one will work, but thought somebody here might know...

Two main factors I need clarity on are - 1. cable length and 2. attachment to pedal.

Have checked throttle body etc and very sure this is just a cable issue.

    Thanks in advance...

I honestly wouldn't know if the cables have different lengths but it may have been discussed in the EP3 thread.

    I did a quick google and didn't get a firm yes/no/by x length

Hopefully a stock DC5S one will fit. I've noticed, because of my aftermarket intake manifold and throttle body, that the cable turns across the motor and then back the other way onto the TB, whereas stock cables seem to run towards the radiator and then turn one way around into the TB. Prob why mine has not faired well with use - two turns in two diff directions.

Vvvtec, do you think yours would reach?
