    Name that switch & plugs - JDM B16A

    I have a couple of questions for the B16A gurus on here.

    93 JDM B16A 5 spd Manual

    1. I found this switch was broken on the back of the engine (inlet manifold side). I obviously need a new one but not sure what it is.. It has one Red with blue stripe wire going to the plug

    2. The plug that connects to the above switch also has another plug as part of the loom which was not plugged into anything. Does anyone know what it is for? It has a Pink with blue strip wire and black wire.

    3. There are 3 plugs that connect to the cabin harness on the Drivers side shocker tower (RHD) but one plug has a blanking plug for some reason.
    Why would this be? All the wires are Yellow with black stripe.

    cheers,

    1 = Knock Sensor
    2 = ?
    3 = Injector bridge

    Seeing as I am going to use a P28 with chip an no knock board does that mean I don't need to replace the broken switch # 1?
    What is an injector bridge?

    Yes that would be correct

    The injector bridge provides +12v to the injectors where otherwise there would be a resistor block.

    Ok so just leave it all as I found it.
    The engine was running ok so these are just things I didn't take notice of at the time.

    Still don't know what plug #2 is in the first image??

    ignore plug 2, its probably a JDM thing

    If you can trace it back to one of the ECU pins I could probably give you more info on it

    unfortunately i don't have the cabin harness yet so not sure what colour the matching wire is that plugs into the Pink/blue wire. I can probably work it out too then using the following link.

    http://technet.ff-squad.com/wiring.obd1.htm

    Maybe this engine harness is a generic harness for another engine which has an additional sensor. I guess time will tell.

    if your running a P28 you can ignore connector number 2

    Yes running the P28. How did you come to the conclusion to ignore connector number 2?
