Thumbs up FN2 Rotors and Brake pads

    Hey guys!

Im looking to get some new rotors and brake pads for my 2007 Civic Type R
i have been to the honda dealer (here in Launceston, Tas) and they have quoted me $275 per rotor, plus brake pads and labor - totaling over $800 for the rear brakes alone!!!

does anyone have recommendations for good quality not so pricey rotors and pads??
possibly looking at getting some slotted rotors as they look sexier.. and help with my ronda honda brake foot haha

    TIA for your help!

First of all, what kind of driving do you do?

If its purely a daily driver with no hard driving in mind especially tracks days ect, I would just go for some after market DBA oem replacements with some ACRE super fighter pads. Cheap and will feel better than stock.

If you plan to track look into DBA T2's or even the 4000 series. Throw in a set of higher temp pads like Ferrodo DS2500 ( I can only comment on these as this is the only sporty pad i have used, and i love them besides the dust.) Though there are many other pads out there to look at. Maybe even chuck on some braided brake lines to compliment it all like HEL lines.

That's just a rear set, is that what you're after? Generally in FWD hatches the rear brakes aren't under enough stress to require slotting or drilling. I use standard rear rotors even on the track and it's fine.

QFM HPX are a good bang for buck street pad. DBA make good quality discs/rotors. This is in my opinion at least.

Alternatively PM amant02 for recommendations on BBK as above

Go repco and buy the cheapest rotors - $50 bucks, Bendix rear pads - $80. (for the rears only)

I suggest brake lines to be added - $175 give or take few shells. This will give you a better braking experience.

    - Watch Video on youtube how to do it urself. No joke 1hr - 30 minute thing.
