    S2000 - Rear Right ABS Teeth Missing - Need new Drive Shaft?

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks again for all of the help so far!

    My ABS kicks in at really low speeds and my mechanic found that a couple of ABS teeth on the rear right are worn/gone.

    He said that we can't just buy the teeth and that the whole shaft with teeth on there will need to be replaced. We've been quoted $1,200 AUD for a new one from Japan.

    I guess I have three questions;

    1. Is it true that I need to replace the whole shaft?;

    2. Being a 2007 model can I use an AP1/older model part?; and

    3. Is the price about right and are there other places to source the part cheaper? There seems to be heaps on Ebay for around $200+100 in postage, but I am not sure if it the correct thing. : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CV-Axle-S...AAAOSwHnFVoAFx

    Thanks guys!
    Cheers

    Def don't buy an oem drive shaft, 1200 what a rip. Not sure if you can only just replace the ring though.

    I've seen rings for sale in the USA cheaply, about $20.
