which steering rack replacement for EG civic ??

    Hi all,
i need to get a replacement steering rack for the EG.
according to one of the ebay listings, there are 3 different type of steering rack for the EG civic.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/POWER-STE...sAAOSwPcVV0Ebp

How do i know which one i have?

i have reshell the car in the past, the vehicle number might not match with the old shell, and i am not sure if i did swap the steering rack from old shell to new shell.
and i dont have the old shell id.

how do i know which steering rack to get?

    please help.

    thank you.

If it's anything out of an eg civic or DC2/4 integra you'll be fine. Why are you going through ebay? Your local wrecker would be a safer bet IMO. Actually I have a spare one gathering dust in my garage :P

Fair enough. But OEM you know will work. Every time I try to save money always costs more in long run.

Should get a DC2 rack, it's a faster ratio (is that the right term?) than the EG rack and bolts straight in.

EG is something like 3.5 turns lock-to-lock where as DC2 is 3.0

FYI ITR and VTiR have the same rack. Not sure about GSi.

Comment was meant for Connor, but I know what you mean. It's a PITA to swap racks.
