When it comes to development for performance technology in cars, motorsport is where a lot of it happens. Products are put to the ultimate test of endurance and performance and that leads to the parts then sold onto the public being capable of meeting the highest of standards.

So at XFORCE, we are passionate about racing and our exhausts are used in a variety of motorsport categories around the world. That means we’ve had the help of the world’s greatest engineers, mechanics and drivers in improving our exhaust systems. The month of August is a busy month of motorsport as the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship heads over to Sydney Motorsport Park which is just around the corner from Sydney head office. It was the perfect occasion to enjoy a solid weekend of racing and also invite our valued dealers out to see for themselves how it all happens behind-the-scenes of V8 Supercar teams.

XFORCE was down on the ground to show our local dealers what goes on and check out the Tekno Autosports and Super Black Racing Teams, both sponsored by XFORCE. It’s a real eye opener once you really get behind the scenes of a race weekend for Australia’s premiere class of touring car racing.

We also bumped into XForce Brand Ambassador and Australian Motorsport Legend, John Bowe. Bowe paired up with Peter Edwards in the Maranello Motorsport Ferrari 488 GT3 which took the track for the 101 lap endurance race. He had the pleasure of spending a couple days with the new Ford Mustang GT fitted our state-of-art stainless 3” Engine-Back System. What did he have to say about it? “Its music to your ears! It can go from standard quiet nanny's car to almost V8 Supercar glorious sound and everything in between. It is the most innovative exhaust sound change I have come across.” said Bowe.

The Toyota 86 Racing Series also headed to Sydney Motorsport for the second round of the inaugural Championship where thirty eight Toyota 86s (Scion BRZs) took to the grid for three action-packed races. Team XForce driver, Trent Grubel was an absolute magnet to mid-pack carnage all weekend long and due to no fault of his own, taking evasive action on numerous occasions to avoid damage, Grubel soldiered on to record three top-10 finishes for the round. Check out the highlights HERE.

Both the Supercars and Toyota 86 Racing series head to Sandown Raceway for the next rounds in late September.
