oil drain for low mount turbo

    Hi there,
my old turbo blew and needing a new turbo.

i got myself a garrett GT2871r, but it comes with T2 flange.

my manifold is T3 flange and i am not willing to cut the manifold because it cost me lot of money.

so i got myself one of the adaptor.

it makes the turbo sit lower. i test fit the turbo and everything to see how everything fits.

since the turbo oil drain is gravity drain, having such a small height difference between the sump inlet and the drain outlet on the turbo means the oil might not come out fast enough.

i got one of this to help lessen the angle on bend on the hose.

do you think i need a scavenge pump?
i am running a oil restrictor as the turbo is ball bearing.

has anyone wire up a scavenge pump and have a walk thru on how to?

    Thank you.

I had this problem in the past and ended up putting the oil drain lower on the sump (sump was baffled though which helped with the flow as not to pool the line).

my mechanic said it looks ok for the drain.
i amight put a clear hose to see for first few days.
    then change it back.
i dont think i can get clear hose that can withstand that kind of temp.
