    CD5 unusual issues

    Hi there

This is a little bit of a long shot as I'm hoping someone out there has had this issue before and knows a fix?

Car: Honda Accord, CD5, f22b, Vtec manual, obd0

Fault: the car seems to run ok 50-70% of the time but randomly it presents a check engine light and goes into limp home mode. last night it also just stopped engaging vtec.

What iv done so far is: "checked fault codes" I bridged the correct wires using the correct procedure and I get the check light on constant (no flashes) this suggests either no recorded fault or an ECU fault. Replaced the main relay.

Other useful information: The plugs and leads have been changed. the car has had the cat removed (fault occurred both before and after the cat removal) there is a loud click from the main relay when it goes into limp home.

My best guess is either an Electrical fault hiding somewhere? or faulty ECU? would love some advice but also happy to take educated guesses too.

    Regards Marc

    Replace ecu
I had an intermittent cel for 6 months
Turned out the ecu circuit board took a shot
