    Car:
    1999 EK3 Civic

1999 EK3 Turbo Civic by Top Fuel Japan

    Hi everyone

Here is my EK3 Civic turbo which was built by Top Fuel Japan before it was imported here to NZ.

Car currently has 110kms on the clock and is in a well looked after condition. The guy i bought it off is a mad Honda enthusiast ( had 5 different Hondas in his garage ) and he had only done 13,000kms in his 7 years of ownership. The only reason he was selling it as it never got driven and he wanted to spend his time and effort on the S2K.

It currently makes 255KW @ wheels on 16psi and has done a best of 12.3 @ 118mph down the quarter mile. This was before the Cusco LSD was fitted so there is potential to get that time down even further.

Its on a safe tune at the moment but could probably make a few more KW if i wanted to push for a bit more power.

Here are the current mods done to the car.

    -Carbon fibre bonnet
-Clear side markers with amber lamps
    -Spoon style front lip
    -EK9 Rear lip
    -EK4 rear sway bar

The only thing I will do to the car is a Whiteline F&R swaybar kit to make it handle better as I want to start doing track days in it and have been thinking about a Ramhorn manifold, GT30 turbo and external wastegate. According to the tuner the GT28 internal wastegate turbo and Top Fuel cast manifold is holding power back at this point in time but in saying that, its not the biggest turbo but seems to suit the setup. The car is super responsive and pretty much has no lag so will see how i feel after a few track days in it.

Will keep the gold 16's and fit some semi slicks on for the track and the 17" Meisters for street.

Here's couple of pics of the car -

and here is is on the cover of NZ Performance Car back in 2004

22mm front sway (assuming that's what it has) and EK4 rear isn't a bad combination. Not a bad idea to track it first and see how it feels and what needs improving before pulling the trigger on upgraded ones.
