    Importance of Brake Lubrication

Bendix's latest Ceramasil Brake Lubricant is formulated to provide longer lasting lubrication and protection on brake components. Check out our video on why sufficient brake lubrication is important for quiet, long lasting brakes.

"Brakes are extremely complex" - Unless you are messing with the ABS, brakes aren't complex at all..

    Anyhooo.. genuine question follows.

Given the pressures and temperatures involved in pressure transfer, you would think that any grease would pretty much be squeezed out between transfer surfaces. It is for this reason I've never bothered to lubricate between calipers, shims and the back of the pads.

Does anyone have any counter arguments to this? I thought perhaps roughing up surfaces so a trace of grease remains in the contact areas, but given the pressures involved I always assumed that all the parts would more or less slide into the most efficient location relative to each other, regardless of lubrication.

Would be interesting to hear your views & experiences.
