    Question Wire identification?

Ok so the nuffie who owned the car before me decided it was a good idea to chop part of the loom so now im trying to work out which wires are for what. just want to double check what ive found on the net.

    Red/ White stripe
Green/ Black stripe- Coolant temp sensor?

    Blue/ Black stripe
    Black- Vtec solenoid plug?

    Green/ White stripe?
    Yellow?

I also found a plug with nothing to connect to, its a 2 wire Yellow/ Black stripe and a Red?

any info towards solving this is greatly appreciated, thanks

    What engine ?
what year is the car ?
    what engine loom ?

    regardless

    Red/wht = ECT
    Grn/Blk = Revers Light Switch Pin1
    Blu/Blk = VTP
    Blk= GND Thermostat housing

    Grn/Wht = ECT GND
Yel = Revers Light Switch Pin2
double check the above with a continuity test to the ECU

its a 92 Del sol running a b20/18 i didnt do the conversion but id assume its the b16 loom obd1.

The Red/ White stripe Green/ Black stripe is confirmed ECT i rewired it and plugged and code is now gone.

Blue/ Black stripe , Black- Im fairly sure is the Vtec solenoid plug although my solenoid is capped and doesnt have the 2nd plug so not sure if it will affect it

Grn/Wht, Yellow- Could be reverse light? there is a switch with wires cut down near the slave but the wires are both green w blk stripe.

I would seriously rethink grn/blk being ECT ground

ensure grn/blk goes to sensor ground on the ECU

if you try and drain the reverse lamps through grn/wht which is what I suspect is sensor ground you will fry the ECU

There are no grn/blk wires to the ecu. From looking at the pinout D12 or 2 depending on how you look at it is listed as brake switch?
I have already wired the ect and it made the cel go away so i thought it was right.

There is also a Grn/wht wire in D22 marked as sensor ground?

I just wired it with the wires that came on the plug i bought from the wreckers which was red/wht and grn/blk. Red/wht goes to the ecu.
