    Cu2 Issue

    Hi, has anyone ever encountered the following issue with their cu2?

    Symptoms;
    Car didn't want to start (checked and charged battery) car started.
    Cars running and your press the clutch in the idle drops to almost a stall & weird smell started.
    Slight pressure on clutch pedal and you can here a whistle (stationary and driving) fully pressed sounds like groaning like sound.
    Car will not start if clutch pedal is pushed in.
    Got stuck in reverse and started. Smell got really bad
    Managed to get it out of reverse now car wont start.

    Any ideas people?

    Thanks in advance

    So it looks like it was the hck-8501kit. But since the installation and bleeding it 3 times I've got a much lighter clutch pedal, had to give it some freeplay as there was absolutely none at all, it creeks like crazy and I have to put into 1st to be able to get reverse. Extremely annoying!!! Anyone have an ideas what it could be??0

    Creaking clutch in a CU2 is so common that it has its own thread on this forum. But seeing you didn't say you changed your master cylinder, the pressure at the end of your push rod (between pedal and master cyl) has changed and needs lubrication. Buy a can of spray lithium grease, or perhaps a PTFE / teflon spray, and use the long nozzle to spray into the rubber cap that the push rod disappears into, as deep as you can manage.

    The push rod basically feeds sound vibration back into the clutch pedal mount, which acts as a mechanical resonator, producing the characteristic squeal.

    The collective terminology in this post reads like a badly written porno..

    I will be replacing master and slave (going to do delay valve delete).
