    ED Civic....please start 1st time

Poor old ED is getting a tad arthritic in its elderly years. Have a new issue which has surfaced in the least 2 weeks and today is particularly worse. When you go to start her it will crank over well and seems to fire up i.e.the tach spins up during cranking BUT as you release the key it dies immediately and the ignition light(s) do not come back...as if the engine was switched off normally. It will do this with 4 to 5 attempts and then magically fire up and run normally....sometimes it fires up but it's as if it is running on 2 cylinders and stalls. Me thinks after 27 years and 450k's that the ignition switch is failing ???

Don't need to rush everyone ------- It looks as if it is the ignition switch. A "new" old one from UPullit for $21 and an hour or so later soldering the car alarm wiring back in and it now starts first time every time.
