    Bootlid operatio n& remote - 2004 Euro.

    Hi All,
    Have a 2004 euro luxury.
1] Previously the boot always unlocked when the remote unlocked the car doors, allowing u to open it manually via the button above the number plate. .
2] Also, If car was unlocked and in the garage could always open the boot with the button above the number plate.

    Of late:
Boot cannot be opened via the button above the number plate even if its unlocked in the garage. Need to use the remote boot function/button.
Also when remote opens the car doors, it will not allow the boot to be opened manually using the button above the number plate. Need to press the boot opening on the remote.

    Finding it damn annoying.

Any ideas on the solution to the problem?

If need parts, any idea where I can get non genuine parts that will be cheaper.

    Much appreciated

    Gordon,

You're better off joining another forum and asking there.

    I use typeaccord.co.uk but nzhondas.com is also a thing.

The operation and parts of AU Hondas is not different from models of the same year around the world - more or less -> there were some basic equipment and option differences.

If you want the manual check this post for the link and instructions:

Could it just be that the button above the number plate is faulty and needs replacing ?

    hi Gordon,

I find when I am trying load up bodies in my boot and the beeper doesn't work, it is extremely frustrating. It makes everything much harder when you have your hands full.

I now just use a trailer after welding a hitch point to my rear subframe.

    BTW nice car.

Hope this helps mate, if you ever need a hand I'll save one for you.

    Cheers
