i'm pretty sure Pivot has an engine start button
its alot smaller than the s2000 one though

you can buy a pivot start button which is basically the exact same thing for $100 or so? places which sell auto accesories will have them, eg. autojoy
and yes, just some basic wiring.... possibly do a search and you will find a diy for them...

It's not hard, yes it is basic wiring but i'd get an auto electrician for example to do it rather than try in your backyard.

If anyone has had experience with installing the S2K engine start into any type of Honda or knows of a workshop or a licensed auto electrician that can do it, post here.

dudes dudes dudes! you all have the S2k syndrome aye?

i have it too.. there's an auto-salon DIY section that kha did on the S2k engine start button, seemed real simple with the right equipment and hands.

it was a while back, it'd say 5-6months ago, find it and read it!

has pricing and the wiring all in it for just $7.50! i think.. i mean the magazine is that price

I've done in my prelude, easy as pie.

    1. S2000 button
    2. SPST 30amp 12v relay
    3. Relay base
    4. 3 lengths of wire, 6 if you don't use the relay base
    5. 4 pin header with crimp pins (only 3 are used)

All up less than $100, inc. parts from Jaycar

The part number from USDM is 35881-S2A-911 for S2000 switch.. U might need to check it out from your local parts for price. Good luck...

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone knew what pins were what on the s2k start button. And what exactly is the relay used for?
