    quick question

umm, just putting any gerneric header (4-2-1)[aus brand] and a high flow cat on a dc2, would you be guareented some sort of gain? ie. 1kw or something?!
or would certain circumstances cause a power loss?!

just intersted and i know this has been covered heaps just want a quick answer.
    thanks

well, if the header hasnt been dynoed, then you wont be 100% sure that it will gain you power. In some cases you can actually lose power. I have a mugen copy header and regretted it, lost power in the lower band. Just ordered myself the original mugen 4-2-1 header. So dont do the same mistake as me.

it really depends on how big is the piping it self
and you need to look at the mid range rather than top coz you don't always hit top

what's the size of your header collector? you should have the same size piping thru out the whole exhasut system. Eg. 2.5 inch collector would require a 2.5 inch cat and a 2.5 inch b-pipe for maximum flow.

could you put a 2.25 high flow cat on the stock vtir b pipe?

yeh you could if you want, no1 is saying that you cant. Its just better if you match the entire exhaust system with the same size piping. is the stock VTi-R b-pipe 2.25 inch?

then whats the point of gettin 2.25 inch headers and cat in the 1st place if your going to leave the stock 2 inch b-pipe. Your totally breaking the flow. Just go look for a cat-back exhaust with 2.25 b-pipe.
