    Lightbulb DIY install rear strut on EK sedan or EM/EJ??

    ok so who has done it? who can tell me where and how exactly to cut the carpet?
    pls guide this poor guy ...

    Yeah u need to cut the carpet to fit them in~

    yea i know abt cuttin the carpet bit... but do i need to drill holes to fit the screws in? coz its a chassis brace with 2 holes

    Nick...isnt it a TIEBAR then ? That goes underneath and connects to your Lower control arm bolts...

    EKs dont have holes ot put rear struts on.

    You have to cut a hole thru the plastic interior / carpet

    I know - ek/em's seem all the same but Nicks description of this "bar" was pretty poor lol.
    He jsut showed me pix and its a strut bar

    2 holes? on each side? because the rear strut/tower brace/bar (the one that goes up top yo!) should just go straight onto your rear shock top mounts, as in undo the bolts, whack the bar on, and re-tighten.

    the tie bar goes under the car?
    if so..for a 96 model civic EK1, U need to modified the exhust to fit it in... There is not enough cleanace to it.. Ben know smore about it

    chi u liar... i got it done today within 20min ... no hole drillings at all... only had to cut a bit of carpet....goes rite on top of the rear shocks...

    and the rear tie... i haven had time yet... ll get that done tmr....
