    0-100 time for a gsi

hey guys just got a g-tech meter n tested it on a country road.. im a bit amazed by the times i got though.. the road was pretty flat.. obviously not perfect. WITH an extra passenger i managed 3 consistent times. 7.29, 7.31 and 7.3 flat. i wanna kno if these figures are a little too good for what my car is :|.... mods: 2.25 exhaust system, 4-2-1 hurricaine headers, simota short ram cai. im running on 15" wheels with 185/55 tyres which are almost bald... i had my 12" sub in the car too... also.. i got a reading of 99hp.. is that supposed to read the hp at the wheels or what?? such a confusing machine

    reads at the wheels
its not gonna be 100% accurate and make shure the calibration includs all your junk in the car and all passangers in the specs

yeh did all that but there are no calibration settings for 0-100 times apart from the balance of the meter itself

how could a dc5r get that.... my friends jdm h22a accord got a 6.5 0-100 with an apexi rsm and he has a stock engine.... u cant really read stats from magazines.. its always incorrect..

Every G-Tech reading I've ever seen has been a little too optimistic, I heard the reasons explained once before but can't recall.

well professional timing. wat would u expect a jdm h22a accord to get down the quartermile with a stock engine? the stats would say high 14s to low 15s. my friend pulled a 14.418.. and with me the stats i have read on other sites for a stock gsi have been 7.6 0-100 with a q/mile of 16.0.. so my 0-100 would make sense dont you think.. i did pull a 15.500 q/mile...

with the hp reading (99hp) it sounds right. Mine did104 and the b18c did 123hp but I was using the same weight input 2500pound. Did you do runs from A to B and doubled checked from B to a. This wise to make sure your car almost 100% flat.

yeh i did.. i tested that thing about 6 times that day but on different roads.. all the results were a low 7 second 0-100. next time i go to willowbank ill test the g-tech at the same time... and ill post up my results.. by the way a dc5r does a 6.7 0-100

    LOL @ another g-tec thread!

yeah man, 99 seems a bit low, since it takes my 160hp at the wheels to run under 6 seconds 0-100...

(i estimate this from racing a porsche to 100km/h, which i beat, so i know the porsche can do under 6 seconds from factory, so i know that my car must have done under six seconds because i beat the porsche)
