i might be wrong but i think the parecl shelf speakers are 6x9's and in the front i think they are 6 or 6.5 in speakers.......

    - i like the 06 model get GPS too looks a real treat

also, as i've read in the past, the front speakers are slim speakers, so it would be hard to just put in any off the shelf 6" without modification to the bracket, whatever. Howver, apparently, the focal slim v165's (156?!? i think thats the name) will do the job just fine.

I think all the accord's carry the slim line front 6" Speakers. Who knows but i know i had to do some modding my self. Not so hard though just go out to either JbHifi and get 6" Spacers. Did the job fine for me

Yeah the fronts are 6 inch ... but the factory speakers are pioneer from what i remember and use a small neodymium magnet .. so they are pretty slimline. anyways installed a pair of boston acoustic splits ... because of the large magnets need to hammer on some 1 inch thick mdf brackets onto the door mount to get clearance for the windows ..

They are 6.5" MB Quart splits, fitted with a spacer. No modifications were made to the door trim, so you can't tell that after-market speakers have been fitted. The speaker hasn't been screwed down yet in this photo, it's just sitting loosely in the hole.
