Yup good read. I do doubt the last statement about a N/A B16 motor never seeing 250 hp at the wheels. I have seen it. Of course it was modded big time, no nitrous too. But it almost cost more than $4k USD. I think after the tuning and dyno time we used it was at like $5k USD. I'll see if I can find the dyno print outs and info.

that final figure of 283.7 hp would be at the fly?? i was talking to someone and i said that people in the US are making 250-300hp in stock B16a turbo's and they said its a bit far fetched like everyone in the US there dyno's are all out to ours here in Australia and make far fetched figures on the dyno. i have seen dyno sheets to prove this power being made and people just dont belive me these are people on H-T posting what they have done to there cars and also posting dyno graphs. some of these power figures people say that they are only using US pump fuel which i think is 93ron but dont quote me on that. elighten me people.

Colorado has 91 oct for high end street gas, Texas has 97 oct, California has 93, I've seen some up to 99. We raced with 120ish oct.

it's rare to see anything over 91 in california

you have to realize that the octane rating here usually isn't the same as everywhere else.

In Australia, fuel is listed on the RON scale... in the US, we use an average between the RON and MON scale, which results in an octane value about 5 points lower... i.e. our 91 octane, which is the best stuff I can get at the pump, and use in my turbo honda, is about equivalent to a 96 ron over there.
