    Splits in ED (ok so what should i get)

    Hey has anyone done 6inch/6.5inch splits in an ed before i searched but no luck

    yes
    they'll fit easy
    just make sure you get a spacer/mdf bracket so that the speakers clear the windows

    I am now lookign at splits to buy have been drawn to focal 165 ..... v1 i cant rmeber the full name and i can get them for $250 anyone got any others comparable i am willing to spend more cause i want a qualtiy product

    $300-$400:
    focal 165V1, morel pulse 6, Hertz HSK165, Boston Acoustics S60, MB Quart DCE216, digital designs DDC6.5.

    or any of the mentioned brands in general, each have quality splits from $300-$500+. or if u wanted lower priced splits (<$200), hertz esk 165, maybe even jaycar splits..

    no doubt ive missed other brands in the price range, but the splits/brands above will be found in most car audio specialists (theyll b easier to find and audition). theyre quality splits anyway, im sure at least one of em will please ur ears

    if u can get the 165v1s for $250, sweet. more important than the price is to make sure u audition lots of splits and ensure that out of the group, the 165v1s are for u. not every1 has the same tastes - what one audiophile might love, another audiophile wont...

    Totally agree i have installed a few systems but i am never the one that chooses them so when comes to my own stuff i need to find whats out there thanks for the info and yes in the end its what pleases ur ears.
