Thread: EG6 sunroof?

    EG6 sunroof?

Did the EG6 come standard with a sunroof?

I'm trying to suss out a claimed EG6 which is for private sale in melb and I'm not exactly sure what to look out for.

Atm all I know is to check the plates and make sure that's been stamped with the B16A2, it should have a stock front and rear strut braces? and that it wouldn't have been aus delivered.

Is anyone able to clear this up or add any further info?

actually, don't make sure it's stamped b16a2.. as if it were b16a2, it'd be a conversion..
make sure it's just B16A******** as JDM's didn't have a generation number at the end of the engine code.

bend over, have a look at the rear sussy, and make sure it's not of the "fork" type, as the JDM's did not come with fork sussy..

have a look inside, make sure you have your jdm folding seats, your black interior (dash/door trims), your jdm horn seats, jdm cluster, jdm climate control, possibly even the jdm flare holder..

i'm not sure whether the eg6 comes standard with a sunroof, but i can say that i've never seen one with it before..

Would this be an example of a stock SiR interior?

    it looks fairly legit..

but i thought the jdm hatches came with the horn seats.. but i guess it could have varied from year to year..

just check the plate, the vin number etc.

looks like it's legit.. or it could be a very good conversion..

not all eg6's had black interior. some had grey like the aus model. and they DID NOT come standard with a rear strut brace. and the sunroof was an option.
another thing to look for is the bigger, body coloured, rear wing with led lights and front lip of course.
but just the blue plate in the engine bay...if it says eg6 u can be pretty sure its an eg6.

does the EG6 come standard with a LSD? i've read a few conflicting things on whether it has a LSD or not.

the picture above is not a EG6 seat.
they did not come with rear strut's.
looks more like a ITR item..
    eventhough reae seats look legit
    Gelo is correct
LSD/sunroof/TCS (traction control ) were all options

heaps of people like to change their EG's to EG6 style... some do it almost completly.

If you want to know if its a legit EG6, as 92delsol said, check the blue plate in the engine bay, or for a yellow personal import plate (yellow plate does not always mean its a eg6 tho)
