If i have a new FD1, is it better to stick to the OEM honda engine oil or use something else?

Nice. Keep an eye out at supercheap, when sales are on you can get 5W30 Edge sport for like $45, sometimes even $40.

Use oil can be recycled (contact local council)

Use engine oil can be recycled. Contact your local council about collection points.

    Info from Australian Government:

Used motor oil is hazardous. [It floats on water and] can kill fish, frogs and other animals that breathe from the water's surface.

[But] Used motor oil can be recycled.

Oil doesn't wear out; it just gets dirty. Used oil can be cleaned, re-refined and used again [for example] as an industrial burner fuel, or re-refined back into new lubricating and hydraulic oil.
