I got the washer from my hona dealer service/parts section, but to be honest its just a normal washer. Can probably reuse the old one too.

That’s some funny shit when you read it…
I particularly like the bit where you’re preparing “for a mass of yucky” LOL
Can’t wait to read the filter change…

Unfortunately I guess it’s not as funny when “Your Tool” = a 17mm ring spanner
hehe so i'm not alone in reading it that way! [not that there is anything wrong with that]
Nice write up. (pics & all, top effort)
No mean to be a pain in the butt tho , but what about those who would need to change the oil filter or is that coming in another 5,000kms ? :P

I did the filter, was an absolute pain in the ass to find (had to get a mate locate it for me. You have to have the right tool and get it from the top (belt type oil filter remover). IT is right below the throttle body in the middleish area and screws straight into the block. Team integra has an article on it, but cos they are yankees i think its in a diff place for em. All you do is drain the oil, unscrew the filter, get the new filter and run a bead of oil round its gasket, then screw it back in by HAND. Then just replace oil as usual.

Never overfill with oil, if u do drain it out. Can increase oil pressure and create leaks, break old seals etc. As I said before I would never bother changing my oil without changing the filter, they are dirt cheap and they really do conteminate the oil.

Also go for wynns engine flush, works creat again to remove contaminants. When changing the oil filter just crack it open and let it drain then remove cause depending how they are arranged do hold a fair mount of oil.

Make sure the o ring comes off when u take the old one off, other wise u will double up and the engine will piss all its oil out in about 5 mins. And ALWAYS only do the filter back up HAND TIGHT.

its 17mm or 19mm....somtimes it can be a imperial size if the hole has been re-threaded.
Just use a decent adjustable spanner and take it off.

    just a quick question:

Does the oil level in the dipstick have to be between the two holes?

Mine is just over 3 litres. Not 3.8 like many suggested and its already between the two holes in the dip stick. Shall i add more oil in?

    thanks.
