If your touchup paint is almost dried out, then buy a new one. Otherwise, you'll need to add toluene, methyl ethyl ketone, isobutyl acetate, cyclohexanone and acetone. Those are the solvents used in the touch up paint. And adding acetone alone is not enough. I've tried that and it tends to form a large blob when you apply it rather than spread out to a thin layer.

i want to buy a can of spray paint to touch up some tiny things on my car...

do they have the codes on the cans? or a code that is equivalent?

don't want to try to match colours with my eye, and end up having to exchange the can of paint so many times.

why do you specifically want spray paint? wouldn't it be easier to use brush to touch up tiny things? Best bet is get Honda's touch up paint, they usually match (and yes has colour code on the tube). But aftermarket paint usually have the colour palette as well which you can use to match your code with.

Went to my local spare parts shop and they made up for me a can of paint in an aerosol can using my paint code under the bonnet,$20.Dont have to worry about it drying out and i've got 500mls as well! When i need to do touchups i just spray some into an old aerosol can lid and use a fine artists brush on the stone chips etc.

Can anyone confirm that the Artic Blue Pearl paint code above is correct? I'm looking at a Honda Workshop Manual and it's saying a different code (G507P). Could this be for another conuntry i.e US?
