    OBDIIa DC2R Immobliser Removal

    NOTE: Information used in this DIY has been obtained from PGMFI.org and applied to the AUDM ECU



    Hi Guys,

    Dont pay to have your Imobiliser removed from your DC2R P73 ECU, do it your self. Just take time and some care as it is so easy to do.






    Aim: Remove the Factory Immobiliser from the DC2R OBDIIa ECU


    Required:

    - soldering Iron
    - solder
    - solder sucker
    - soldering skills
    - Philips Head screw driver
    - Anti Static Strap




    Step 1

    - remove the ECU from the car.
    - put on the anti static wrist strap and connect the aligator connector to the body of the ecu.
    - Remove the top and bottom ECU covers to expose the ECU components. The bellow pic is what you will be confronted with.




    - the riser PCB in the yellow circle in the above pic is part of the immobiliser,

    what we have to do is bypass it by setting a few jumpers on the ECU.

    STEP 2


    - locate J20 on the underside of the ECU and join it with a blob of solder.
    if that is to messy and difficult for you, you can use a peice of wire and solder it in to make the bridge. see bellow pic



    STEP 3

    - locate RP23 on the underside of the ECU and join it with a blob of solder.
    if that is to messy and difficult for you, you can use a peice of wire and solder it in to make the bridge. see bellow pic





    STEP 4

    - Locate RP24 on the top side of the ECU next to the MCU ( yelllow arrow pic bellow ). You have to remove the 0 ohm resistor that is bridging the pads. apply heat on both side of the 0 ohm resistor and pry it off with your soldering iron tip, clean up the area making sure solder is not splattered everywhere.




    thats it, your Immobiliser is bypassed. I like to remove the Immo PCB as well, makes no difference but I like to keep them as a souvenir.



    so if you want to remove yours remove the thing in the yellow circle in pic bellow.



    the ECU will now start any B18C in any car with out any fault codes



    This type of immobiliser is a IMMO A0, as printed on the ECU, for other types of ECU'z you can remove this module to bypass the Immobiliser, however you may have a fault code constantly in the ECU and the MIL always on.

    I can Supply you a Bypass Module for IMMO-AO ( any OBDIIa ECU ) or the HIC-FX01 and HIC-FX02 OBDIIb ( EM1, S2000 ) ECU's. Bypass Modules are a replacment PCB for the IMMO-AO and HIC-FX01 boards to bypass the immo. PM me for more details.

    Confirm this method works on the below ECU's listed with ECU PCB ( M1Y-C 0014T - L5000 - 01 )

    P73 from DC2R
    P30 from 97 CRX
    P2T from EK4 ecu ( thanks to Phuong1987 )
    P72 from DC2 Integra ( thanks to VTec1987 )
    P2P from EK VTi ( thanks to VTec1987 )
