difference between 96-98 and 99-00 EKs

hey just wondering what the difference is..

i keep seeing that the 99-00 has a "face lift"

wat da hell is a face lift??? hehehe

and i know the white colour in the EKs are of a different white between the 2 types..

wat else is different?? bcoz quite frankly i thought they were the same didnt know der was a distinctoin between those 4 years... until when i went to check out some headlights and it says for 99-00 EK ... im like isnt 96-00 all the same shape??

    there are a few differences.

99-00 have a facelift, which means a change in the front look.

bumper, headlight, side fender, bonnet have all been changed to give it a more streamline look.

as for the rear, facelift taillights have a white turning indicator instead of the orange in order models.

also facelift civics have the plastic moulding on the bumpers removed for a cleaner look.

here are some pics of the difference

look carefully at the bumper and headlights. its different. facelift models have clear indactors headlights where as old ones have a "grove" blurred indcator casing.

the bumper on the facelift also have lil air ducts on each side, usually for fog lights and air intake.

headlights no. but the side mirror is the SAME!. the one i showed you in black is the US model, they had the ugly looking mirrors :P

if you want facelift headlights, you need to change the whole front and do a conversion. thats iincluding changing bumper, fender, bonnet and headlight

arr i see i like the lights on the pre-facellift ones better

so the major difference is the front part of the car..

the rear of the car only has minor differences with the light colours...
so the rear bumpers for both types r the same aye?
