Blog on Ozhonda

As part of the upgrade to vB3.8.2 I've also added the ability to Blog via Ozhonda.

What is it?
For people new to blogging it is basically,

A blog (a contraction of the term weblog) is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. [SOURCE]

How do I see peoples Blogs?
Use the Blog link on the navigation bar at the top

How do I post items to my Blog?
Use the Blog link at the top to go to your Blog. From there you will see a small box on the left which allows your to either Post to you Blog or go to your Blog Control Panel (among other things). Take a few minutes to check out the Blog Options in the Blog Control Panel.

Blog Categories
There are three predifed categoris which you can post your Blog to. Either Honda related, non-Honda related (for Blogging about your hobbies/interests) or Site related (this is restricted to moderators / admins.

Can I Customise my Blog layout/colours etc?
This is a feature that is reserved to members that Subscribe to Ozhonda by contributing financially to the site. See this thread for more information.

yeah, i don't see the point of this really.

if people want to blog, there's twitter etc.

A lot of users do spend time on here so instead of logging onto another site......they can do it straight from Ozhonda. At the end of the day its up to the uers(s). If it's not being used much then it can be disabled.

its not a feature that won't be used, evry1 will eventually blog, but i am sure u could have come up with a better way of using forum memory... it seems the only point u implemented the blogging feature is 2 save people from logging on2 other sites?

Not necessarily. That said, i'm not sure what you mean by "better way of using forum memory...."

well u always mention that features like disabling filters between search times (that 20second period) will put a strain on the forum and slow it down...

LOL and what does blogging have to do with money?

It's a feature that's there. If you don't want to use it you don't have to. It is that simple really.

There's a big difference between 300+ users hitting the new posts button at once as opposed to a few people posting to their blog or reading a blog. I still don't see the point you're making.
