do you mean the one on the key or one on an alarm?
If its an alarm then you can program one in.
If its the factory one i think you need to change the immobiliser unit unless they have something that can read the factory immoboliser. Or get a JDM unit that does not have the immoboliser unit

    lost your immobilser?

well your actual immobiliser is in the car
do you mean u have lost your factory key with immobiliser chip in it? or have you lost an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser remote?

if it's the factory key u may run into problems as i think the del sol has the red key system for programming immobiliser keys?

EDIT: i checked at work and the red key system was only 96-00 so you'd be safe

after checking that i'm taking it you have lost an aftermarket alarm/immobilser remote. do you know what brand it is? you can chase it up with the manufacturer/installer and they should be able to chase up a couple additional remotes for you (you'd wanna keep one spare this time )

Sorry guys I meant the keyring with the alarm button. My car has the standard immobiliser (key) and then the alarm immobiliser also. Now that the button is gone, can I have a new one re-programmed to it?

you've lost the remote to the alarm right? if so YES a new one can be programmed to your current alarm system.

ive done it a few times even to the new viper alarms, its easy just look up ur alarm systems manual either on the net or book. goodluck

if its an old system, and you cant find the manual or anything its a good excuse to upgrade the system ay?

Argh, I did that with the alarm remote for my Pulsar... it was going to cost us more to replace the remote then to buy a whole new alarm...

Ended up getting a package deal on a Rhino Alarm for my WRX and Pulsar was a good excuse to upgrade the security..

Tried to get it reprogrammed but apprantly you can only do certain types of alarms was awhile ago so i've forgotten the reason.

Maybe try ringing your alarm company direct and get a price on a replacement first, might have some luck and it would be reasonably cheap..

A new alarm can only be reprogrammed if it is not code-hopping and anti-grabbing.
