You can check the ABS with the diagnostic plug near the ECU, just under the glovebox, next to the passenger door.

It would be like a blue plug.

You get a paper clip and make 2 pins (U-shape).
Just connect the 2 ends of the paper clip in the connector and turn your ignition to 'ON'

You then have to count the number of beeps or flash to determine the problem.
There's a table somewhere with all the diagnostics, but forgot where.

You could always go to the wreckers and find another CPU/module whatever you like to call it.

In most cases it would usually be the ABS CPU that is faulty.

    as above.

but I must say its not as comon to have ecu failure, more so WSS or acumulator failure.

you have to read the codes and take it from there. could be some thing simply unplugged, or it could be the abs modulator, ( not cheap )

My headunit has a minor wiring fault or loose cable. Sometimes it resets, and when this happens, my ABS light turns on aswell.

However, I think my ABS Light is now my engine light after my S200. Engine light is shift light. I think so anyway, the other week I was really low on fuel (nothing on the dipstick) and ABS light was on for a day or so.

Don't know if this helps you.

you dont have jdm dc2r cluster in the car do you?

most cases if someone has installed it the lazy way which is switching pins 2 and 3 to get the fuel guage to work the abs light will stay on

    MINE DOES!
