Hi just wondering if it would be possable to put the engines with the cars...
I have a 1997 Gli sedan but i dont know what the engine is, eg b16a or b18c or d16a or what ever. I want to look at doing up the car over the next 4 years while im at uni but want to find out about the car first.
    Im new here... Play nice...

Sorry maybe my question wasnt clear... dont know what engine i have in my car that is what i want to know.
    I have this:
    Civic GLi Sedan
    Body style 4-door sedan
    On-sale dates Oct 1995 – Sep 2000
    Engine 1,590cc SOHC 16 valve, 4 cylinder
    Power / torque 88kW / 144Nm
    Transmission 5-speed manual / 4-speed automatic (optional)
Notes :Apr 1997: Minor model change
    Nov 1998: Minor model change

But i hear people talking about other numbers which is what i am after. How do i know if it is a b series or a d series, im guessing it is a ?16? with the 16 being 1.6L but i dont know the rest.
    Im new here... Play nice...

yours is D.. B series are DOHC.. and i'm pretty sure no variant of your car came in B from factory

EK GLi Sedan, you have a D16Y4, non-VTEC SOHC, you can look on your VIN

Does anybody know if a H22A motor would fit in a 94 EH Civic Sedan? I currently have the D16Y1, 96kw SOHC VTEC but I guess I'm dreaming of 200+ HP...

Any advice on an upgrade is welcome

EDIT: Just read your other thread on engine swaps...but advice is still welcome!
