check tyres for wear could haggle abit if anything need replacing soon
    check brakes for wear
    check for rust
check that panels line up and colour for previous accidents
check engine bay for leaks and cv boots
test air con if its working and cold
    check timing belts
    check for service history
check all fluid levels are level and not empty
check if the car blows smoke
    check all lights are working
check windows and doors shut properly
check for spare tire and tools
road test the car take every turn/hill/ or highway to see if it struggles in any way
see if the gear change is smooth
    check clutch wear
check hand brake if recently adjusted it should only click around 5-7times i think
check for noise when turning doing full circle
    test the brakes

check seats and carpets for wear, if the odometer reading is relatively low you would assume wear on these 2 things would reflect the kilometres

Brake hard and accelerate hard without holding the wheel too tightly to see if it veers.
My order's simple... a sh*#load of dim sims and a bucket of soya sauce.
Low cost mod: Filled my car with helium balloons. Power to weight biaaaaatch!

    - gearbox; runs smoothly. No crunching between 1-2 and 2-3
    - radio antenna clicking when going down
    - water in boot
    - power windows rattling
    - CV joints; cracked or not (check inside wheels and suspension to look for grease spills
    - Check oil
    - Check around actual engine to see for any oil leaks
    - Check under car (if you can get under it) to look at oil sump to see if its leaking
    - Engine mounts; this is something you can feel when driving. If you are a little *rough* when driving and accelerating in first and then throttle off, if it clunks, then the engine mounts are bust.
    - interior should be quite clean and in good condition. Check under the floor mats to see the driver wear (from shoes etc)
    - CHECK LOG BOOKS
    - Radiator fluid (if its been serviced regularly and not just stamped from a friend – the fluids should be quite clean)
    - Air con full blast while you are driving so you know the aircon is working (it should be quite cold)
    - Water in headlights/tail lights

Also in the log books you want to see that the major services were done at a reputable mechanic and major things like timing belt, air filter, all fluids (engine, brake, gear box) were changed for new ones, and then also that major things were checked, for example cv joints, engine mounts, bushings etc.

Sorry if there is any repeats.. gl with it!
