    turbo-ing

    Hi everyone

    just wondering,
i want to increase kw-s for my car,
what kind of turbo should i get?
should I turbo, supercharged or stroke?

my budget is around 1000-2000 only

is it worth it to turbo the car? because ive got automatic in my dc5

    thanks alot

you dont really have any chance with that kind of budget...

although you could do i/h/e but youll get no where near as much gains..

firstly id probably just say save ur pennis - even stretching ur budget to 2.5k wont really get a decent kit and installed (unless u can do it urself) not to mention the tune etc..

probably not worth it.. turboing an auto - eh probably wait til u get a manual and bigger budget. dont want to be shortening the life of ur car by doin a dodgy turbo job

oh and duno how strong the auto gearbox is in terms of handling the extra power.. might want to look into that aswell

With that budget, SRI/CAI ($100-$500) Header ($500-$1300) Exhaust ($500-$1300) you'd be struggling to get I/H/E. But if you are going to keep the car you may as well start with a cat back, SRI/CAI and headers.

    Good luck!

with that budget, you can buy new tyres, pads, and maybe better discs. sorry bud, but unless you have 6-7gs. dnt start on turboing any car.

    DA9, eg, n360,
u can still get a quick auto.... autos are used heaps in drag racing for the torque multiplication....

at the end of the day its up to u and what u want... if u like that car then do it..

but do it right the first time... im turboing my da9 atm and its alot of prep to the rest of the car before doing it... and its hard to do all that and have a life and juggle a gf.

turbo kits r cheap and so are heaps of aftermarket parts for hondas. but u have to work out what needs doing and a big bank balance to do it... coz doing it like how im am is a pain in the ass....

    for example

i need this car for a daily driver (remember this)

i just did the brakes (upgrade)
i need to do the battery relocation to boot,
    gauges
    fuel pump
    reg
    injectors
    probly ecu aswell

then i can start on the turbo

    fit the cooler
    fit the oil lines
    fit turbo and manifold
    exhaust
    tuner

thats including alot of skipped steps...

if it was me prob find a cheap b18c with manual gearbox

    and then start to turbo
