    Gear box oil

    hi guys,

im thinking of changing my gear box oil to redline mtl.

just curious to know how much oil the gear box takes in the DC5S?

would anyone recommend a different type of oil?

im pretty sure ive broken a mount or two which could contribute to the rough feeling when shifting into 2nd and 3rd gears.

    how annoying

Royal purple is very thick. We put that into an RX-8 and we couldn't get it to flow through the tube!

Gripping? What is gripping? Do you mean your clutch? The clutch does not get affected by the transmission fluid.

Yeah, then it's meant to do that since it is new fluid.

i didnt have a problem when putting into my gearbox, i found that its not as thick as the redline stuff. ive used redline before in my other cars and found that it breaks down to quickly where as this royal purple stuff is still as good as when i first put it in. clean, crisp engagement in every gear.
